Auction Consignment Process

STEP 1: Appraisal
Leonard Auction will first provide you a complimentary evaluation of the property you wish to sell.  We prefer to view photographs of the items or inspect them in person at our auction facility.  Our appraisers do travel for estates and large collections.  During the appraisal we will discuss the appropriate venue and time to sell your property, as well as estimate the price that we feel your property would bring at auction.  For estates and larger collections, we will prepare a written proposal for your consideration.

STEP 2: Contract and Delivery
After evaluating your property and determining the marketability, Leonard Auction will contract with you to sell your items at auction. The contract details the terms of sale and the commission rate. We will also make arrangements to transport your items to our auction house. We provide a full line or transportation options if you are unable to transport your property.

STEP 3: Sale and Payment
Leonard Auction will sell your items at the auction specified in the contract. Checks are mailed 10 business days after the auction, in accordance with the auction contract.
