Methods of Payment
Accepted forms of payment include cash or check made payable in US dollars drawn on a US bank and major credit and debit cards. Invoices greater than $5,000 require payment by certified check, bank check or wire transfer. Credit cards will be charged a 3% convenience fee. Leonard Auction reserves the right to hold merchandise purchased by personal check until the check has cleared the bank.
Buyer's Premium
The invoice will include the successful hammer price of the item and the buyer's premium. The buyer's premium is a 10% charge on the hammer price of each lot for floor bidders, a 15% charge on the hammer price of each lot for absentee and phone bidders, or a 20% charge on the hammer price of each lot for eBay Live bidders. Applicable sales tax will also be added to the final total. All sales are final and subject to the Conditions of Sale.
Pick-ups
Auction purchases should be paid for and picked up at Leonard Auction within 7 business days of the auction. Items left beyond 7 business days will be subject to a storage fee of $5/day for each item. Please note that the hours for removal of property are Monday through Saturday from 10:15am until 3:45pm, except on auction days during which only purchases made that day may be picked up.
Shipping
Shipping, handling and insurance costs are the responsibility of the buyer. Leonard Auction will directly ship most small items. Shipment of larger items must be arranged by the buyer. Leonard Auction will provide a list of shippers who will deliver larger items to destinations within the United States and overseas. Please consult the catalog entry for each item to determine the shipping status.
