Late 19th-early 20th century, hand painted having a cobalt blue ground, signed “Guillon”; depicting an elaborate battle scene with canon, grenades, works, ranks of infantry and cavalry; having mounted French nobility at the forefront pursuing a mounted, armored figure; urn mounted on gilded bronze plinth; lid including gilded pine cone finial; underside of lid marked with a “D” between interlocking “L”s atop an “S” followed by five small dots
