(4) items including a Babanki elephant mask; a Dogon mother and child oil lamp / censer having a reservoir behind head; a snake decorated dagger / utensil handle; all above of copper alloy; and an iron “currency bell” from the Nkutsu / Jonga People of the Democratic Republic of the Congo

Provenance: The Estate of George "Yorgo" Demetrakopoulos; professor, assistant director of the Medieval Institute and assistant to the dean at Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, Michigan from 1965-2000

Dimensions: Height: 20 3/4 inches, Width: 8 1/4 inches, Depth: 4 1/2 inches (iron bell)

Condition: Good, overall light wear consistent with normal use; oxidation; bell having dent and (2) short cracks at lip; handle is a fragment of a larger work
