European Hirschfanger Sword and Custom Dagger Assortment

(4) items including (3) hunting swords with a sword having fully sharpened single edge with sharpened tip and point on opposite side including makers mark on spine, and (2) WK&C Solingen swords, both marked on ricasso and having hoof and shell cross guards and acorn adornments in handles with a sword having a leather scabbard, all having antler handles and engravings / etchings on blades; and a fully sharpened double-edged dagger having an antler and baked amber handle; together with bowie shaped knife having sharpened single edge, a miniature cavalry saber with scabbard as well as leather frog

Provenance: The Estate of George "Yorgo" Demetrakopoulos; professor, assistant director of the Medieval Institute and assistant to the dean at Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, Michigan from 1965-2000

Dimensions: Width: 1 1/2 inches, Length: 29 inches (sharpened hunting sword, tip to pommel, width at base of blade)

Condition: Good, overall light wear consistent with normal use; light to moderate oxidation to blades; guards slightly loose on swords; a WK&C sword missing an acorn adornment on handle; sheath for dagger does not appear to be original to that knife
