16th century, hand-colored woodblock print, depicting a map of the world according to Ptolemy, surrounded by (12) wind-heads, pulled from ‘Cosmographia’, having full title in German above image: ‘Ptolemaisch General Tafel die Halbe Kugel der Welt Begreiffende’, matted and framed so that verso of pages is also visible

Condition: Very Good, central crease with repair to verso; stains; (3) left quadrant having (3) worm holes and a repair to top edge; (2) worm holes upper right quadrant; hole in margin at bottom center; not examined out of frame
